Leprechaun in Alabama

This is genuine news footage from Alabama where the town of Mobile goes nuts when words spreads that there is a real leprechaun on the loose. This is the sort of thing that keeps me alive.

Some Europe Photos

Four of us returned from a trip around Eastern Europe last week, and for those of us who don't have iphones we are now left scrabbling around for spare change to get our photos developed. I have managed to get two done and here are my favourites.

The Suburbs

The new Arcade Fire Album is out and it is holy. The first two tracks are like someone has managed to bottle puberty, spread it all over some burnt toast and then cover it with peanut butter.

Stuff & Things

I had a dream that I quit studying graphics at Kingston and did animation instead, which was really fun. It reminded me of the degree show and my favourite video which was by a guy called Jack Cunningham. The video itself is almost dreamlike, if you were a lego man living inside a packet of softmints.

When I was recently looking into Tomas Mankovsky videos I found this old Orange advert they made that at the time I found irritating and cheesy. When looking at the behind the scenes videos it turns out that the videos they created are made without any special effects but loads of holes for the actors to jump in and about a million takes. Once you bear that in mind, and you also bear in mind the poor quality of the video, it becomes a joy to watch.
